Chapter 62 Step by step (1)
Li Youde’s expression immediately sank. His facts were almost wormed out by somebody! Fortunately, he got his senses back in time and no one else knew about it.
Seeing Li Youde’s face change, her heart felt sad like there was a feather scratching it.
”Who said that I” what? “Who said that I like Lady Jiang and don’t like you”? “Who said that I like Lady Jiang”? Either of these two answers would make her feel better. If it was the first one, it was a miracle that could set firecrackers on spot.
However, now the best time to worm the facts out of him has passed. Presumably, she wouldn’t get anything out of him anymore today.
“Very well done, Lady Chen!” Li Youde glared at Chen Hui.
Chen Hui lowered her head and said aggrieved, “This Lady Chen knows that this Lady Chen’s mind is too terrible, but this Lady Chen can’t control myself either…”
“Alright,” Li Youde beckoned with his hand, “Go back.”
Chen Hui looked at Li Youde with eager eyes, “But…”
“There are no buts, get out,” Li Youde didn’t let Chen Hui continue.
Chen Hui blanked out for a few seconds. Then, she turned around and went out. When she opened the door, she turned her head and asked, “Lord, this Lady Chen wants to have breakfast with lord tomorrow, can I?”
A pair of watery eyes looked at him expectantly. Li Youde almost surrendered. He moved his gaze away and said, “I have to enter the palace early in the morning tomorrow.”
“Don’t you even have time for breakfast?” Chen Hui asked sadly.
“…No.”
Chen Hui thought for a long time after she returned to her room. She felt that the feeling out of just now was not successful. After all, Li Youde didn’t say anything crucial. She couldn’t figure out his true attitude nor did she get to know how she truly feels.
This feeling was really bad.
But Chen Hui had never been a person who gives up easily. She went to bed very early. Early in the next morning, she got dressed and went to the main room. The door of the main room was open. Xiao Liu told Chen Hui that Li Youde had left long ago.
“Did lord say how long he would be gone this time and when he will come back?” Chen Hui asked.
“Lord said that it would be in about three to five days. He didn’t elaborate,” Xiao Liu said.
Chen Hui was silent for a while. She suddenly looked at Xiao Liu and asked, “Xiao Liu, do you think that lord has an interest in me?”
Xiao Liu was a bit confused, “…What?”
Chen Hui said, “That I have asked you questions, you wouldn’t turn around and tell it to lord, right?”
Xiao Liu quickly shook his head, “I won’t, I won’t!”
Chen Hui said, “That is good. I ask you; do you think that lord treats me well?”
“Naturally, lord treats lady quite well!” Xiao Liu said quickly, “This little one has followed lord for several years and hasn’t seen lord treats someone so well before!”
Chen Hui raised an eyebrow, “Isn’t there still a Lady Jiang?”

Xiao Liu was still young after all. After he heard this, he blushed and said awkwardly, “If this little one has a girl this little one adores, this little one will probably treat her well, give her delicious food, take her to fun places and buy her beautiful clothes…”
“Thinking of love at such a young age, really capable!” Chen Hui gave Xiao Liu the thumbs up.
Xiao Liu’s whole person felt not good. Wasn’t it you, Lady Chen, who let me say it?!
Chen Hui ignored him and walked away full of thoughts. She estimated that it was useless to ask the people of Chrysanthemum Yard. They seemed to have long acknowledged that Li Youde was quite unusual to her, otherwise, they wouldn’t have insisted on making her go in when he fell in the bathroom.

“This Lady Chen is helping lord measure your measurements,” Chen Hui said with an innocent face.
“Do you know how to?” Li Youde raised his voice suddenly. Presumably, he got angry by Chen Hui’s shamelessness.
Chen Hui smiled, “Lord, don’t worry. This Lady Chen won’t mess around. If you don’t believe this Lady Chen, you can ask aunt Sun.
Li Youde didn’t ask. He lifted his chin slightly, pointed at the door and said, “Get out.”
“Lord, let this Lady Chen help you, please!” Chen Hui didn’t move, “This Lady Chen really has good skills…You also witnessed it, haven’t you?” She was referring to the bras made for Consort De of course.
Li Youde stared coldly at Chen Hui and smiled, “Not leaving, right? Don’t regret it later!”
Chen Hui hesitated for a moment because of what he said, but a very able person was bold. She said aggrievedly, “This Lady Chen only wants to help lord…”
“Aunt Sun, go out,” Li Youde ordered, “Close the door.”
After aunt Sun went out, only Li Youde and Chen were left in the room. The latter was full of fighting spirits. She had to try and get out something this time!
