Chen Hui tore Qi Shengwen’s letter, soaked and rubbed the pieces thoroughly with water. Now, she wasn’t so anxious to find Li Youde anymore. She had received an anonymous letter. There was no reason for Li Youde to not come to look for her. 

Sure enough, the next night after Li Youde returned, he let Ah Da call her to the main room.

“I heard that you received a letter yesterday. From whom is it?” Li Youde asked with narrowed eyes. 

Chen Hui took one glance at Li Youde and didn’t speak.

“It fell into the water and melted,” Chen Hui said.

“That is not right. Lord has misunderstood,” Chen said composedly with lowered head. 

From Li Youde’s point of view, Chen Hui was just quibbling being like this! When the servant reported to him, he guessed that it was her little lover who refused to give up, but he still wanted to hear her deny it! However, he didn’t expect that she didn’t even want to deny it! She wasn’t even so half-hearted when she lied before! Did she think that she could do whatever she wants now that he would be leaving for a few months? Perhaps, she even thought about eloping once again with her little lover!

Li Youde was so anxious and angry that he forgot to correct himself. It was only his misunderstanding that last time he thought that Chen Hui eloped with her little lover. 

“Misunderstood?” Li Youde sat down slowly. He lowered his eyes. His eyes were full of cold hostility, “Lady Chen, what more do you plan to say? When I leave many things will be more convenient, right?!”

“Lord has indeed misunderstood. The few months that lord is away, this Lady Chen will stay well-behaved in Li residence,” Chen Hui said quietly with lowered head. 

“Well-behaved!” Li Youde said through gritted teeth. The thought that Lady Chen would intimately elope with her foppish little lover when he is away, he got so angry that he wanted to kill someone. Anyone who dared to covet something that belonged to him should die!

Seeing that Chen Hui didn’t have the meaning to beg and curry his favor. Li Youde was full of anger and didn’t know how to vent it. After a few days, he will be leaving the capital. By then, how will she be? Is it that the moment he left, she would immediately run to that whatever Wen?

Chen Hui raised her head, gave him a surprised look and then dropped her gaze quickly again. 

Li Youde intuitively felt that something was wrong. He suddenly remembered that he planned to give some benefits to Chen household, she had to persuade him to not to. She hates Chen household so much now, how could she be threatened by him?!

Li Youde suddenly had the embarrassment of having exhausted his limited abilities. He couldn’t bear to beat her and scolding doesn’t work; what more could he do? Bound her to his waistband? But he was about to leave the capital to go into war, how could he bring her?!

Li Youde swallowed. The two thoughts seemed to both be somewhat reasonable. He also couldn’t be sure for a moment. 

“Before I leave, move back to Plum Yard,” Li Youde hesitated for a long time before he said his decision, “I will leave you Xiao Wu, Xiao Liu and Xiao Jiu…and will send you a few more people.”   

Chen Hui’s heart skipped a beat slightly. This indirect psychological method of getting him to do what she wants didn’t work. Just now, she saw that he was about to believe it.
