It’s been nearly two weeks since the last chapter. I’ve caught a bad cold. The weather here is sometimes cold and sometimes warm. Unpredicable.

It’s been for months since my departure from the palace. I’ve been doing a lot of things, like embroidery and painting, to keep my mind from wandering to a certain person. The day has finally come. I sat in my room, while my husband and my father are fighting outside. No matter who wins, I’m bound to be unhappy. After what seems forever, Lian Er finally came with news.

I rushed to the court. I didn’t let the eunuch announce me. I stood outside against the door, hearing what my father has done. Corruption, treason, manipulating and more sins. He sentenced to death.

As Ming Long said after the sad times happy times will come. I was really happy these past few days. When I’m happy there’s bound to be someone unhappy. Consort De kept playing little tricks. Even though I don’t like her I felt pity for her. Women of the emperor are bound to live a life like that. Seeing her is like seeing how my life could’ve been.
