Chapter 31 Reconciliation (1)
At this moment, Li Youde felt that his previous series of expressions and movement were all in vain. It was as if his fists landed in the air, so weak.
Li Youde got so angry that he stood up, pointed at the door and shouted, “Get out!”
Chen Hui was dumbstruck, stood up neatly and was about to go out.
Li Youde shouted again, “Who let you leave?!”
Chen Hui stopped and turned her head to look at Li Youde. Suddenly, she knelt and hugged his thigh and said lovably, “Lord, don’t get angry. This Lady Chen doesn’t want to leave, don’t let me leave!”
Li Youde got angrier.
She is starting again, right? She would act like this whenever she wanted and is so not afraid of him. Did she really think that he couldn’t do anything to her?
Li Youde lowered his head and glared at Chen Hui. Just as he was about to make a vicious threat, he saw that Chen Hui just happened to raise her head to look at him. That pair of bright eyes were very pure as if she truly saw him as the only one who she could depend on in this life. It was like he was no longer a eunuch, but a man who was able to support both the heaven and earth and who shouldered responsibilities.
The words had been stuck in his throat and he couldn’t speak anymore.
The anger gradually dissipated during the stalemate. Li Youde suddenly realized that if Lady Chen had reacted as he had expected before, he wouldn’t be happy. Only this unexpectedness would make his heart feel an inexplicable joy after the surprise.
It had been more than two years since he had brought Lady Jiang into the residence. He rarely made eye contact with her, but he could clearly feel her alienation from him and that kind of despise that she repressed with force. He is a eunuch after all. What about it that his power was gradually raising? Of those who begged him to do things for them, how many did flatter him in his face and despised and scolded him in secret?

“For how long are you going to hug? Are you planning to throw yourself at me?” Li Youde raised an eyebrow.
Chen Hui hesitated for a moment. Seeing that Li Youde’s expression was not too scary, she courageously said, “Lord, you…are not angry anymore?”
Li Youde humped once, “If I get angry for such a small matter, I will die from anger every few days because of useless things!”
Chen Hui though, you got so angry just now that smoke was about to come out of you, okay? If it wasn’t because of my wit, perhaps, I would’ve already turned from a beauty to withered bones, alright?!
Chen Hui smiled and complimented, “Lord is right. You are the most magnanimous!”
Li Youde swept her a sidelong glance, “Still not letting go?”
Chen Hui quickly loosened his leg and stood up neatly. She stood properly at a side and looked quietly at Li Youde. She probed, “Then, lord, this Lady Chen will go back now?”
Li Youde squinted his eyes and asked in a long tone, “Where are you planning to go back to?”
Chen Hui was naturally thinking of Plum Yard, but what came out of her mouth was, “…Where lord say it is, is where it will be.” Sigh, when someone is under another’s roof, one had to lower the head. The most important thing is that the boss is satisfied. Can someone still come rush out and scold her for being a dog’s leg? Even if they scold her, she isn’t afraid. She wouldn’t lose a piece of meat with a scolding.

Li Youde snorted twice, “Alright, then, go lie down inside.”
Chen Hui’s back stiffened and recalled that Li Youde had said before “I don’t have the slightest interest in women”, which give her confidence. She immediately smiled, “Lord, do you want this Lady Chen to warm up your bed? That is exactly what this Lady Chen wants. Lord, don’t worry. Li Youde really wanted to roll his eyes. Who wants to warm the bed which such a sun? Did she really take it seriously when he said earlier that he had no interest in women?
His gaze swept across her chest again and remembered the touch of that time. Suddenly he felt a bit stirred up. He coughed once and said, “Alright, I still have to return to the palace. Go back to sleep.” He paused, “As for Lady Jiang, sent over the cat that she took a fancy on tomorrow. In the future, don’t go disturb her tranquility when there is nothing important.”
Chen Hui nodded repeatedly, “Lord, don’t worry, this Lady Chen won’t go whether there is or there isn’t something important.” She paused and asked, “Then, lord…if this Lady Chen has nothing to do, can this Lady Chen go out and play in the shops?”
Li Youde’s sharp gaze immediately looked over. Towards this kind of conduct of Chen Hui where she would climb along the pole and when you give her some color, she would use it as dye, he felt that it was ridiculous and funny.
In the end, he still didn’t refuse, “Let Xiao Liu follow.”
Chen Hui’s eyes lit up, “Thank you, lord. Lord is really the best!”
She backed away a little, “It’s getting late. Lord, be careful on the way back to the palace.”
Li Youde humphed once and strode away.
Chen Hui took two steps slowly and respectfully sent Li Youde and Ah Da away. Afterwards, she returned to her room.
Xiao Tiao was originally asleep. The sound of Chen Hui coming in woke her up. She sat up and said in daze, “Lady, why are you back?”
Chen Hui said happily, “Lord let me come back. You can continue to sleep. I will also go sleep in a while.”
Xiao Tiao was still in a daze. After hearing this, she struggled for a while without success and let her sleepiness occupy her brain.
Chen Hui was so excited that she couldn’t sleep.
Although, she wasn’t able to let Li Youde let her go back to Plum Yard, but she understood her current situation anyhow. She was also clear about how she should go on in the future. Furthermore, she had the privilege of going out freely. Staying at Chrysanthemum Yard was also fine. Anyway, Li Youde is not interested in sleeping with her. He only felt that she was fun to play with when he is bored. She didn’t care about this. Entertaining the boss is justified. Moreover, he was not only her boss but also her money tree.
