I like everything that’s fast and beautiful. So, I tried the ‘new’ craze, the magnetic lashes. My eyelashes are very short. I tried many ways to let them be longer, but nothing helps. So, I gave up and just use mascara. I don’t use false eyelashes that much, only when I need to go to a party. The main reason I don’t use false lashes is because they took too much time and usually aren’t that natural looking. In fact, I’m a very lazy person. I go to college looking like a bum, because I almost always overslept and don’t have time to do my make-up. When I heard about the magnetic lashes, I was excited and thought that maybe I won’t need that much time anymore for my almost none existent beauty routine.

I purchased it about three weeks ago, after watching many YouTube videos about them. It costs $78.95 including delivery costs, very pricey. See my surprise when I had to pay €16.90 to the delivery man for taxes. I was like, they better be worth it.

When I opened the package, I liked the design of the box. There was also a paper with instructions on how to put the lashes on. Inside the box were four pair of lashes. I was a bit disappointed with the lashes. For the money, I expected better looking lashes. Anyway, I excitedly began to try them on. An hour and half later, I’m still trying them. It’s so difficult to put on. I’m a very impatient person. It’s a miracle I played with them for so long. After that, I gave up. It looked so easy on YouTube.

After much practising, I finally managed to get the lashes on. I was disappointed. The lashes don’t go along with your eye shape. They’re more like a straight line. They didn’t look natural at all. I bought the Original Lashes, which were supposed to be natural looking. You can see that they are fake eye lashes. Also, the lashes don’t cover the whole eye, which make one side of the eye look much longer than the other side.

Because one of my eyes is the hooded shape and the other doesn’t have a eyelid, the lashes make me look like a clown. The hooded one was a bit better, but the lashes pierced at my skin. It was so uncomfortable. The monolid one looked horrible. They’re not made for my types of eyes.

I give the magnetic lashes, a 1/5. The idea was good; however, it is way too expensive. Besides, it’s not made for all eye shapes. If you have the eye shapes like those people from YouTube, you can give it a try. But if you’re Asian and have monolid or hooded eyes, this is not something for you. If they come up with flexible lashes which goes with your shape and also a better price, I may give it another try. Now, it’s useless to me. I won’t return it cause, I don’t know how much I need to pay to get it back to the United States. I may give it to a friend with better eye shape.

For those who want to buy it, first check your eye shape and then check if you need to pay extra in your own country. Next time, I also need to do a thorough investigation before buying something.

    1. Yup, I regret buyung them. I watched too much advertisement about them. Only now did I realise, the advertisement features Caucasians. It didnt went to my mind that it will not work for monolid Chinese

      1. They don’t seem to work for caucasian women, either. I waited 4 weeks to get them, due to backorder. I was very disappointed in these eyelashes. They don’t curve with your eye, they just, kind of, stick out. Perhaps they need another magnet in the corner to keep it from popping up. I thought I might hang on to them and “make” them work, somehow, but it’s a lot of money to spend on a DIY project. I think I will try to return them.

  1. I totally agree with you. I tried the original lashes . I was very disappointed at how puny they looked and the strait shape was so awful looking . I’ am a makeup artist and wear false eyelashes everyday . And I feel very pretty with them on . But these one two lashes are not very good quality. And don’t fit the shape of any eyes. I think they are terrible. Way too much money for a cheap product.

    1. The material was indeed pretty cheap for the price. It truly wasn’t worth. If I live in the USA I would’ve returned it. But now I have no choice but be stuck with them😭. I envy make up artist. You guys can do make up so beautiful. I mess up everytime I try a new make up tutorial 😅

  2. I purchased the bold lashes and love them! I do have hooded eyes, I am 66 years old, but they look really great. You do have to practice a bit to get them on, but once you learn it, it’s like riding a bike. I will purchase more lashes. I bought them because I hate putting on mascara and hate taking it off more, so these are for me. Sorry they didn’t work for some, but I am very happy with mine.

  3. I’m so glad that I read up on these testimonials! I have curved almond shaped eyes and don’t think that these lashes would fit or be long enough for my eyes. I think that I will continue with the Ardell’s! They are always having a sale also when you buy two you get the third free! I use the black duo glue also which blends in marvelously!

  4. I too bought the One Two Lashes. I am caucasian with almond shaped eyes. I was so excited to receive the Bold , I would like to strangle someone. I have spent many hours to no avail trying to put these on. The ends poke out and they do not follow the lash line.
I did not send them back either, I keep taking them out every once in awhile to try again. Maybe one day I will get it. Don’t waste your money on these!

  5. thank you ladies, i am glad i found these reviews. i almost bought them but it sounds like too much trouble for me.

  6. II received them today…oh boy…spend 2 hours trying to put them on…I need to wear my glasses as well cos I am short sighted.Forget it…and even I did not put them on yet I dont like the shape of it.They are definitely not natural look.Paid $45 to get them to Australia.Wish I read reviews first.I am allergic to any glue or mascara so I have to wait for something new again .

  7. I got them today! for 2 days now I had to try and get them apart, that made them look cheap. Finally after playing for 2 hours got, 1 eye on. They don’t cover the whole eye, nor do they cover half of it. Not enough little magnets to hold them down, both sides keep popping up. I tried putting eye liner on top of eye, that hide a little of the magnet. But both sides keep popping up. Don’t invest you money. They are cheap and short, says extension, but NOT!
