I think Situ Yuanxiao may end up supporting his other half brother when the crown prince gets too desperate and suspicious of everyone and rebels for the throne. Situ Yuanxiao comes across to me as quite an innocent and ‘pure’ character. Perhaps, regardless of Zhao Zimu’s gender, he has fallen for him and does not want to oppose the one he loves nor support his brother who is thoroughly against Qiansui as that would result in him/her being put to death.
The most funny thing to me is that both of them think that they are “crushing” on a pair of twins who are, in their minds, both partners of Lin Qing. Ridiculous 🤣🤣
